What is a healthy marriage*?

There are at least two characteristics that all healthy marriages have in common. First, they are "mutually enriching" and second, both partners have a deep respect for each other.

A mutually satisfying relationship is one that is beneficial to all members of the family unit.

It is a relationship that is committed to ongoing growth, the use of effective communication skills and the use of successful conflict management skills.

* Marriage is a civil right fight that has yet to recognized or won in Texas but one that the Marriage Dividends supports for same sex couples.
