This Premarital class is a one-day, 8-hour class for couples who are engaged, thinking about marriage, or in their first years together. The class is fun way to identify your strengths as a couple in a small, intimate setting as well as learn the tools that keep fights from escalating. Typically there are 2-4 couples. This class qualifies for the waiver of your $60 Texas marriage license.
The Marriage Dividend Premarital Class combines all of the marriage PREP Our Whole
Lives information, conflict management, as well as information on
financial decision making, all based on
the latest research available including neurobiology.
It is taught from a psychological and scientific
perspective by a certified Imago Relationship Therapist and Licensed
Marriage and Family Therapist who works with long term committed
relationships and
challenging marriages on a daily basis.
Valuable information on such topics as:
Three secrets to long term success in marriage
Simple ways to maintain and deepen your connection
The latest findings coming out of the brain research on couplehood
Four danger signs that cause relationship stress
Effective communication skills, some based on the book Getting The Love You Want (Imago)
Things you can do now to prepare your relationship for wedding-related stress and other such stressful times

Relationship models for you to choose from for better monetary and domestic harmony
Exploration of relationship styles and roles, and the benefits and challenges of your choices
Cost
The cost of this class is $350, or $310 if you pre-pay (you will save $40). You will also receive a waiver for the $60 marriage license (a total savings of $100)
Individual counseling sessions are $100 an hour with a two-hour minimum for our first meeting or $130 for 50-minutes. We can cover all of this material in private couple's sessions.
If you are concerned that one 8-hour class will not be sufficient, please take a look at our Marriage Dividend: Extended Premarital Classes that add on six additional 8-hour classes spread out over the course of a year with the same couples as your first class. The total cost of the Extended Premarital Classes is $2,520 with discounts and payment plans available.
